Professor Atwood stormed down the corridor in a rush, he was late to his second class of the year, which wouldn't give him a good image. If only Scarlet hadn't have looked so good today, he might have been on time. But then again, Scarlet always looked good to him so it really wasn't an excuse at all. He almost ran to the into the classroom which was buzzing with chatter and enchanted paper airplanes circling the ceiling. He was taking second year Gryffindors and Ravenclaws today, which made his job easier as he was the Head of Gryffindor House. He clapped his hands once and most of the chatter ceased.

"Good Morning Class," he began, his deep voice echoing off the walls. At only 24, Tyler was a fairly young Professor, as was Scarlet for that matter. This had its advantages and disadvantages. One of the things which annoyed him the most were the older girls, from 5th year upwards, that swooned over him. He wasn't the most attractive bloke around, but he knew he was decent. He had consistent pieces of parchment posted under his office door expressing some poor girls 'undying love' for him. At first he'd found it amusing and he'd been somewhat flattered, now he didn't even bother to read them before throwing them into the fire.

"Today we will be revising the basic disarming spell you learnt last year, whilst adding something more to it. Can anyone tell me the incarnation?" he asked, smiling broadly and gazing around the glass in anticipation. Tyler loved teaching, he had a passion for students and Defence Against the Dark Arts, so naturally he'd become a Professor. He knew how important it was to be prepared for anything, so he took his job pretty seriously. In saying this, he still was a Gryffindor born and bred and a bit of a jokester.

He saw four hands fly up in the air immediately. He chose a boy in the second row. "Yes Dylan, what is it?" The boy smiled at him and promptly answered, "Expelliarmus," Professor Atwood beamed at him. "Well done. Now class, watch my wand movement, it has to be precise or your opponents wand won't fly out of their hand to you," he stated.

He demonstrated for a couple of minutes before allowing the class to try it on their own. He watched them for a few minutes, correcting a few students with the wand movements before sitting down behind his desk, satisfied that his class was making good progress.
